Events Waiver

DISCLAIMER AND PARTICIPANT WAIVER

Willowbank Education is responsible for operating bushcraft, fishing, and archery activities on behalf of Nethergong Camping. Whilst each activity has a specific risk assessment and every effort is made by our highly qualified staff to ensure your safety, these are physical, outdoor, all-weather activities that naturally involve inherent risks.

Our sessions take place in woodland environments featuring tree stumps, uneven and slippery ground, loose branches, roots, and dead wood in varying weather conditions. Fishing sessions are conducted at an open lake, and archery takes place in an open field. While Willowbank Education and Nethergong Camping take all reasonable precautions to ensure participant safety, accidents such as trips, falls, and collisions may still occur.

By attending a session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted the terms of this waiver. Your participation constitutes agreement to this disclaimer.

Nethergong Camping and Willowbank Education (delivering sessions on its behalf) shall not be held liable for any inconvenience, injury, accident, delay, liability, or expense incurred, except in the case of proven negligence on our part.

By attending, you also agree to the following rules:

General Rules

1. Children must behave in a manner that does not jeopardise the safety or enjoyment of others.

2. Foul or abusive language is not permitted.

3. Aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.

4. Participants must follow all reasonable instructions and directions from staff.

5. Cutting tools may only be used after proper instruction and approval.

6. Cutting of living trees or their parts is not allowed without explicit permission.

7. Fires must not be lit or left unattended without express consent.

8. Participants must follow all water safety rules.

9. Long hair must be tied back for archery and bushcraft.

10. Closed-toe shoes are mandatory for archery and bushcraft.

Cancellations

In the unlikely event of staff illness or severe weather, Willowbank Education reserves the right to cancel or postpone a session. If this occurs, a full refund will be issued.

Refunds will not be given if a participant fails to attend or chooses to cancel. In exceptional circumstances, a refund may be considered. All cancellations must be made directly through Willowbank Education.

Arrival

Please arrive on time for your session. We are unable to extend or delay sessions due to other bookings.

• Bushcraft: Meet at the giant tipi near the main shower/toilet block (behind the chicken coop).

• Archery: Meet in the field at the far end of the campsite. Allow enough time to walk there.

• Fishing: Meet at the lake.
